Rosó Buch tras anotar en la prórroga

Lointek Gernika Bizkaia won the first ticket to the final of the Super Cup that is being played at the Bilbao Arena in Miribilla after winning after an extension to Valencia Basket by 68-62 in a semifinal in which the Catalan escort Rosó Buch shone especially .

Buch scored 22 points, gave 7 assists and had a PIR of 22. Some very outstanding numbers, but not as much as their contribution especially in two key moments of the match. In the initial reaction to balance the 0-14 with which those of Rubén Burgos started and in extra time seeing the ring, like the whole game, with great ease.

The American power forward Margaret Roundtree (17 and 18), the Spanish international center Nogaye Lo Sylla (10, 8 and 11) and the German guard Angela Bjorklund (11, 4 and 13) accompanied Mataró's team in his great game.

Bjorklund missed a free kick that could give Mario López the victory in regulation time, but scored a triple that was decisive on the scoreboard.

For Valencia, which was only surpassed in the second half of the first quarter and in extra time, the best were its interiors Laura Gil (14, 7 and 12), Celeste Trahan-Davis (11, 6 and 10) and a Raquel Carrera who suffered a severe sprain at the end of the second quarter when he was doing a great match (7, 8 and 14 in just 14 minutes).

Base Cristina Ouviña also completed a good match (6, 5 assists and 11).

The crash started with an unusual first quarter. A partial in which Valencia escaped with a 0-14 shot by Carrera and Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite, but which ended with Gernika ahead (16-15) after a comeback led by Buch and Roundtree in a 13-0 (13-14) who rounded off a triple by Serbian forward Milica Ivanovic shortly after the honk.

After that surprising start, the clash ran on a path of equality that did not abandon until the end and was confirmed at halftime (27-27), at the end of the third quarter (42-43) and at the end of the 40 regulation minutes ( 56-56).

On that last occasion, after Bjorklund missed a free kick 1.4 seconds from the end that would have almost ensured the Biscayan victory.

In the middle, a duel at the beginning of the second quarter between Trahan-Davis and Roundtree, very hard-working in the area like the Spanish internationals Nogaye Lo and Laura Gil.

Already in extra time, a lot of determination from Buch, the key player, some Valencian precipitation and a triple from Bjorklund that ended up being key to put the 66-62 at 1.47 of the final before the final 68-62.
