#Steeven.™ Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Hereda San Pablo Burgos closed the preseason this Friday with a victory against Urbas Fuenlabrada by 93-79 thanks to a great second part of its two team directors, who led the team to turn the scoreboard in the fourth quarter. Fuenlabrada fought until the end after having made a great first half and Paco García's men added their first defeat of the preseason. Urbas Fuenlabrada started the match more plugged, mainly Robert Upshaw standing out, however Hereda San Pablo Burgos managed to turn the scoreboard and get ahead (10-9). A 0-8 run in favor of Paco García's side gave the visitors the first advantage (13-18), although the Burgos team responded with another 7-0 to get ahead (20-18). The entry of Ziga Sama revolutionized the match and together with the defensive errors of the locals, Urbas Fuenlabrada managed to go ahead on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter (22-26). Although the Hereda San Pablo reacted at the beginning of the quarter, again another partial of 0-8 of the Madrilenians served to have the party on their side. For their part, Joan Peñarroya's men did not finish finding the rhythm of the game and could not find the points either from the outside shot or in the paint, although the baskets of both teams were happening (43-48). After the break, Fuenlabrada still had the reins with a Melo Trimble that made the difference (45-51). However, Peñarroya's men put on one more march and thanks to good defenses they equalized the game, although that defense also resulted in numerous fouls by the Burgos team (54-56). The entry of Goran Huskic gave wings to the Burgos, while Trimble was the only one who continued to score for Paco García's (57-60). Seven consecutive points put Peñarroya's team ahead, who had the best moments of the match, coupled with Huskic's success, deciding the match in favor of San Pablo (70-63). The Burgos team dominated the last quarter, led by both Omar Cook and Alex Renfroe, two point guards who controlled the pace of the game both in scoring and in direction, while Urbas Fuenlabrada continued to live thanks to the failures of San Pablo (78-74 ). A 13-0 run closed the match for the Burgos (91-74), although Alex Urtasun fought until the end to avoid a major defeat (93-79). The next match by San Pablo Burgos will be on the first day of the Endesa League, where they will visit the Palau Blaugrana to face Barça on Sunday 20 September. For its part, Urbas Fuenlabrada will debut in Galicia against Monbus Obradoiro on Saturday.
