The Toyota Land Cruiser is a true legend among the few SUVs that we can find for sale. The current generation dates from 2007 but, thanks to the continuous improvements it has received, it has kept up to date. In fact, the arrival of his replacement has no date yet, as those responsible for the brand are still deciding which way to go. However, while choosing the option, they have put it through another slight update.

As you can see from the images they have posted, the changes that the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser receives are very subtle. Therefore, do not expect a radical aesthetic evolution, as its creators have decided to keep their mark. Even so, it has a new finish that adds certain accents that enhance its image and provide a touch of modernity. The technological and security part is also updated with new functions.

As we have mentioned, the aesthetics of the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser remains as we knew it. The main novelty resides in the Black Pack that extends through the front grille, black bezels on the fog lights, exterior mirrors and door trims. Already, in the rear, we find a band finished in dark chrome and some optical groups with transparent protectors.

Inside, the Land Cruiser receives more technology and driving aids. The only change compared to the previous version lies in the adoption of a new central touch screen for the infotainment system. Now it releases faster software and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with connected services such as real-time traffic information or internet connection.

On a technical level, the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser maintains the ladder chassis, although conveniently improved to include the Toyota Safety Sense system. As a novelty, it receives a pre-collision system (PCS) with detection of pedestrians and cyclists at night as well as intelligent adaptive cruise control. Finally, we have to talk about the mechanical offer that we will find under the hood.

The brand has updated the 2.8-liter diesel block and Stop & Start system. The power, compared to its predecessor, is increased by 27 hp to achieve a final performance of 204 hp and 500 Nm. For its management it is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission that transmits power through all four wheels. In terms of performance, it accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.9 seconds and reaches 175 kilometers per hour.

Its arrival on the market will take place in the last weeks of 2020. It will be then when we know how the range and the price list are structured.
