James Rodríguez, a un paso del Everton

James Rodríguez is very close to closing his departure from Real Madrid to head to the Premier and play for Everton. Carlo Ancelotti, current coach of the English club, has been key in convincing the player and in initiating negotiations that are not closed but are on the right track. The agreement could be closed for a figure close to 25 or 30 million euros. The Italian coach brought out the best in James at Real Madrid in the 14/15 season and also had him under his command at Bayern. The harmony between the coach and the Colombian is total and that is why James has given the OK to this movement ahead of other options that he had on the table.

James already assured last week during an interview in a Mexican media that his priority was to leave Madrid to set course for a project in which he was happy and in which the coach would bet on him. And in fact, he gave a clue when he said that "the Premier was a great option." Already then, Ancelotti's interest was on the table and now the agreement with the English team is close to being closed.

If the operation comes to fruition, Madrid would be able to sell a player that Zidane does not have and who right now was a problem for the white club due to the relationship between player and coach. The next priority case, and much more complicated, will be that of Bale. Because while James wants to play and has given facilities, the Welshman clings to his contract and insists on not leaving. And also there are no offers for him.
