Newly arrived on the market, the Mazda MX-30 is a brand new 100% electric SUV. What are its strengths?

At first glance, the MX-30 is noted for its opposing doors and polished presentation. However, the main interest of this new SUV lies in the nature of its engine. It is 100% electric, which is a first in Mazda's current lineup for the European market. Find out about the various benefits below.

145 hp electric motor
The zero-emission Japanese SUV's e-Skyactiv powertrain consists of an alternating current (AC) synchronous electric motor, placed under the hood. It stands for 107 kW, or 145 horsepower, in conjunction with the front wheels. As for the maximum torque, it reaches 265 Nm, a guarantee of instantaneous recovery without noise pollution.
Up to 262 km of autonomy
Under its floor, the Mazda MX-30 carries lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 35.5 kWh. This gives it a combined range of 200 kilometers, according to the current WLTP standard. In city mode, it is possible to travel up to 262 km on a single charge. As such, the battery can be recharged to 80% in about 40 minutes, on a DC fast charging station.

Original design
4.40 m long, the MX-30 is in line with the current Mazda range, capitalizing on a dynamic and fluid design. Nevertheless, it displays its own personality by sporting a slimmed-down grille and rectangular wheel arches. Not to mention the uniqueness of its opposing doors, whose reverse opening at the rear allows for better access to the passenger compartment.

Zen and eco-friendly interior
As a zero-emission model, the MX-30 stands out for its smooth operation. This component is reinforced by the Zen atmosphere of the cabin and the well-kept presentation. Certainly ecological, the interior contains recycled fibers on the door panels, vegetable leather on the seats and cork inserts on the center console.

Bonus of 7000 euros
The Mazda MX-30's first laps of the wheels are timely. In France, since June 1, 2020, the various purchasing aids have had the effect of raising the maximum ecological bonus from 6,000 to 7,000 euros. It is granted to 100% electric models with a purchase price of less than 45,000 euros. The MX-30 is eligible for this bonus of 7,000 euros, which may be combined with a conversion bonus of up to 5,000 euros. Currently, the MX-30 is displayed from 33,900 euros, or 26,900 euros bonus deducted
