Irregular comienzo de Rahm, se hunde Sergio García y es líder Jason Day

Jon Rahm will have to improve his game a lot if he wants to have victory options in the first 'major' of the year, the PGA Championship that takes place in San Francisco. Barrika's was not comfortable in a field where the wind took its toll.

In the first nine holes he accumulated three bogeys and at least avoided in the second part of the course that his marker was much farther from the head. Rahm finished par with the field (70 strokes) and hopes that on the second day he will find better feelings both with the putt and in the approach shots to the green.

Sergio García was baffling. He had several birdie options that he did not take advantage of and sometimes he was carried away by his own discouragement. He finished with +3 and will fight to try to be at the weekend in Harding Park.

The first day left us the good taste in the mouth of seeing a former world number one, Jason Day, leading the tournament with 65 strokes, punctuating his journey with five birdies and not a single bogey.

But the Australian feels the encouragement of Koepka (-4), who seeks the feat of achieving the victory in this PGA Championship for the third consecutive year. The American shows his best arguments in this 'major' that for reasons of the coronavirus has become the first major of the season.
