[Auto] The Kia Sonet advances its official debut with the release of a sketch

Despite the general sales drop that the automotive sector is going through, there are segments that remain very strong. SUVs are saving the accounts of many manufacturers and the proof is that new proposals keep coming. Two of the firms that have made the most efforts are Hyundai and Kia and the proof is in the launches they are carrying out around the world. Next up, the new Kia Sonet.

We already told you about the Kia Sonet last February. Before the Coronavirus disrupted the entire world, the South Korean firm put it forward conceptually at the New Delhi Auto Show. The model in charge of advancing its lines was called Compact SUV, but everyone took for granted what its final name would be. Now it's time for your presentation and the teaser and sketch campaign has just started.

The Kia Sonet will offer an aggressive and attractive aesthetic

The development of the Sonet has been carried out in parallel with another already known model, the Hyundai Venue. Both models are intended for the Indian market and share a platform, technology and different mechanical options. However, the Kia model will be more ambitious on an aesthetic level and to confirm it, you just have to take a look at the images and video teaser that the brand has published.

In them, we can see that it will offer a powerful front that will stand out for a new LED daytime running light. Kia's typical Tiger Nose grill evolves by offering a three-dimensional geometric configuration called the "stepwell." The height of the hood will be greater than in other known models, such as the Stonic. The rear is another detail that appears in the video teaser, with a strip that joins the optical groups in its central area.

As defined by the brand itself, after Seltos, the Sonet is the second model made by and for India. They are convinced that it will be able to capture the attention of a youthful audience that above all values technology and is socially connected. The only data that they have not published, yet, is the date of their official presentation. Of course, they announce that it will be very soon, so surely we will have it before the end of summer.
