[News] SJL: new Villa Essalud receives its first 15 patients COVID-19

The Peruvian Social Security Office (Essalud) reported that its new Villa of attention in San Juan de Lurigancho received its first 15 patients with coronavirus (COVID-19) this Saturday.

 

These are patients who require specialized care, whose ages are between 25 and 79 years.

These patients were mostly referred from Hospital I Aurelio Díaz Ufano, they arrived at the Temporary Isolation Center, in stable condition with oxygen support by nasal cannula.

 

Last Thursday this new attention center was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Martín Vizcarra, and by the head of EsSalud, Fiorella Molinelli.

 

"In the next few days, more patients will continue to be admitted, however, it is important to mention to the po[CENSORED]tion that access to Villa EsSalud is with reference to the centers of the Almenara Service Network, there is no emergency care," said Jorge Villalta, EsSalud doctor.

He added that the health facility has an ultrasound machine and an "X-ray" machine to correctly assess the patient's condition, avoiding his transfer to other health centers.

 

The new Villa EsSalud San Juan de Lurigancho has 200 beds, of which 176 are hospitalized for patients with mild or moderate symptoms, while the remaining 24 belong to the Intensive Surveillance Units (ICU) and critical care Units (ICU ).
