Its autonomy is also striking, which is only 200 kilometers in combined use, although it amounts to 262 kilometers in the urban environment. Clearly the main question is whether this electric car, with so little autonomy, will fit well with customers. Keep in mind that most new electric models usually offer about 300 kilometers of range. How does the Hiroshima brand justify this decision not to offer so much autonomy? Why only 200 kilometers of autonomy? Just yesterday we attended a digital press conference on this electric crossover. Mazda explained to us that, according to their studies, most European drivers travel less than 50 kilometers a day, so it is not necessary to offer a very wide autonomy. In addition, a larger battery would add more weight to the set -by spending more electricity- and, obviously, producing it is more expensive and polluting. In a way, from an objective point of view, it has a lot of logic. However, if another model of similar size and price offers 50% more range, even if it does not serve you for long trips, it probably encourages you to buy that other car. More than anything because of having a little more margin on your trips. Sufficient benefits for the city Since we have talked about the battery, it is 35.5 kWh and weighs 310 kilos. The electric motor is located in the front and develops 145 CV and 271 Nm. Among its features we find an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 140 km / h. The combined consumption is 19 kWh according to WLTP regulations. Recharges, finishes and price of the Mazda MX-30 Its recharge depends on the type and power of current used. As the brand has communicated to us, with a fast point of 50 kW in continuous current it can be charged to 80% in about 36 minutes. It is important to note that the first customers (in the launch campaign) to purchase this model will receive a Wallbox for free, including installation. The structure of finishes is identical to that of most Mazda models, that is, from least to most equipment, they are ordered as Origin, Evolution and Zenith. To these we must add several customization packages, as well as a launch edition called First Edition. The starting price of the Mazda MX-30 is 34,375 euros, but with the current aid of the Moves plan it can be lowered to 27,665 euros. On the other hand, from the brand they have told us that their sales forecasts until the end of the year are about 350 units.
