Dr.Drako Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Prosecutor Rafael Vela, coordinator of the special team in the Lava Jato case, said he is waiting for what the National Board of Justice decides as aggrieved "for the abuse of power" by the supreme prosecutors. The superior prosecutor Rafael Vela, coordinator of the special team of the Lava Jato case, greeted this Thursday that the National Board of Justice (JNJ) is carrying out the "corresponding actions" against the supreme prosecutors Tomás Gálvez and Pedro Chávarry. "Obviously, the JNJ has taken corresponding concrete actions [against Tomás Gálvez and Pedro Chávarry]. In fact, these schedules [of hearings] respond to the concern that these considerations may be discussed within due process and resolved in accordance with what the law deems, ”he said in dialogue with RPP. In this line, he said he was waiting for what the National Board of Justice decides as aggrieved "for the abuse of power" of both supreme prosecutors. "[We await the decision] with the expectation of being permanently wronged by the abuse of power, by the intrusive conduct of both supreme prosecutors that has been evidenced on multiple occasions, public requests and requests even within the Board of Supreme Prosecutors itself" he added. The JNJ held a hearing last Wednesday in which it evaluated the suspension of the Supreme Prosecutor Tomás Gálvez due to the disciplinary process that follows him for his alleged links with the criminal organization Los Cuellos Blancos del Puerto. Likewise, the aforementioned entity has scheduled for next Tuesday, July 14, a hearing to preventively suspend the supreme prosecutor Pedro Chávarry in his duties, as part of the immediate disciplinary process that also follows him for his alleged links with the aforementioned criminal organization. On February 20, the JNJ opened a disciplinary process against the supreme prosecutors Pedro Chávarry and Tomás Gálvez, and the supreme judges Martín Hurtado and Aldo Figueroa, all accused of their ties to Los Collars Blancos del Puerto. 1
