President Martín Vizcarra reported that more than 60% of Peruvians who contracted COVID-19 have overcome the disease. During his press conference, the president explained that to date there are around 264,000 positive cases of coronavirus.

Of these, 151 589 compatriots have overcome the virus and 104 514 are still battling this disease. This after discarding the coronavirus to 1 million 560 653 people.

 

Of the Peruvians who are still infected, 10 599 are hospitalized and 1,166 are in the ICU with mechanical ventilation.

"We were pleased when the number of recovered reached 50% of the total number of infected. Today we are already at 60% of the recovered and this trend occurs in some regions of the country that have a curve of decline, persistence of the virus and in others the same does not happen. We have to do the comprehensive analysis, "he explained.

 

Vizcarra Cornejo also pointed out that Lima still concentrates 70% of coronavirus cases. The other 30% is distributed among the other regions of the country.

 

In addition, he indicated that 250 mechanical fans have arrived from the United States and that on June 30 another 400 fans purchased in China will arrive.
