Improve competitiveness In recent years, the foreign trade sector has been losing competitiveness as a result of limitations in the support infrastructure, inadequate loading, unloading, security processes, low levels of innovation and little transparency regarding its rates. "Legislative Decree No. 1492 seeks to boost the logistics competitiveness of foreign trade, through the transparency of costs, thus ensuring predictability in the operations carried out by users with respect to the contracted services related to the transport of goods," explained the vice minister. Bayonne. "This standard also establishes the digitization of all the processes carried out in the logistics chain of foreign trade, both for the public and private sectors," he added. The Mincetur pointed out that although the implementation of the digitization of processes of foreign trade operators has been taking place in recent years, the need to ensure that all foreign trade operators digitize their procedures is essential due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
