Global Moderators |N4SS3R| Posted May 12, 2020 Global Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) The development of Hyundai's new electric car continues. The South Korean manufacturer presses the accelerator of the project that will mark the most immediate future of its electrical offensive. The new Hyundai 45 has been hunted once again. And this time, we find a notable loss of camouflage. This electric will hit the market to rival, among others, the Nissan Leaf. The production version of the Hyundai 45 Concept is closer. Hyundai has long since pressed the throttle in the development process of this new electric car. A new model that will lead part of the electrical offensive that the South Korean firm will carry out over the next few years. And it is that, it is called to deal in a key category for the European market. Once again, the future Hyundai 45 has been hunted in broad daylight. A sighting that again takes place in Europe and, more importantly, we are facing a great loss of camouflage. All the black fabrics covering the exterior have been removed and now the bodywork shows only the characteristic vinyl used by the brand in its vehicles that are in development. Although there are still details such as the optical groups that are not finished, this camouflage removal allows us to get an even clearer idea of what the general shape of this new electric car will be like. Even the plastic fenders that surround the wheel arches are intuited. Let us remember that we will be before a compact "crossoverized". A kind of Kia XCeed or Ford Focus Active. Although, logically, with 100% electrical mechanics. When it arrives at the dealerships, its main rival will be the Nissan Leaf. The supply of electric compacts of generalist brands is still very limited in the European market. In any case, it will not be easy at all since the Nissan model is one of the leaders when it comes to electric car sales. It is a really po[CENSORED]r model. Nor should we lose sight of the Volkswagen ID.3, whose launch will take place this year. At the design level, the production version of the Hyundai 45 Concept will bear many similarities to the conceptual model. It is also important to note that the vehicle will be supported by the e-GMP platform, an architecture exclusively dedicated to electric cars. Regarding the mechanical section, it will have an all-wheel drive configuration since it will equip two electric motors. Now, the motor that will act on the front axle will be less powerful than the one installed on the rear axle. We should also point out those reports that point to a possible variant of propulsion (rear-wheel drive) that offers lower benefits and, in turn, allows to lower the starting price of the vehicle. The market launch of the Hyundai 45 is scheduled for next year. Specifically, its release is scheduled for the month of January 2021. Therefore, a few months later its commercial journey in the European market will begin. Edited May 13, 2020 by YaKuZa--BoSs Closed Topic/complete 1 day.
