Airbus headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

Airbus CEO issued a blatant assessment of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the aircraft maker.

Guillaume Fury warned in a letter to the workers that the company was "bleeding liquidity at an unprecedented speed."

The company announced this month that it would cut aircraft production by a third.

This comes as the aviation industry is expected to shrink dramatically following the outbreak of the Covid-19.

Mr. Fawry also told Airbus's 135,000 employees to prepare for possible major job cuts and warned that it was still on the line without taking immediate action.

Airbus is scheduled to achieve results this week for the first quarter of the year. These numbers will be overshadowed by the epidemic that has left global airlines struggling to survive and almost completely halt aircraft delivery since closings began in March.
