AymenGhost. Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) Launched in 2013, the Mercedes CLA, the first of its name, has had some success. Its successor, largely inspired by the 4-door CLS coupe, starts on the same basis to strengthen its position on the market. Resting on the Class A platform, the new CLA has a length of 4.69 m (+ 4.8 cm) and turns out to be a little wider, while the height remains almost unchanged. Aesthetically, this compact 4-door coupé looks like a "baby CLS", with the essential features of the front panel. Suddenly, his gaze appears more piercing with tapered lights, overhanging a less massive shield than before. On board, the dashboard was borrowed from Class A, except near the aerators. Unveiled in Las Vegas, on the sidelines of the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the newcomer wants to be technophile as possible. And it's no coincidence that the new Mercedes is launching the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), an ultra-sophisticated infotainment system. As with the A-Class and other Star models, you have to say "Hey, Mercedes" to benefit from the services of the virtual assistant. Only, voice and gesture commands have been improved. With artificial intelligence, this system is quite responsive to driver requests. The technological demonstration continues with the digital screen with two screens (10 inches), the digital instrumentation, which can be configured as desired. The arsenal of electronic driving aids available to the CLA also commands respect, as evidenced by the Pre-Safe Plus, a system for detecting and limiting the risk of rear impact. For example, when the vehicle is stationary and the impact cannot be avoided, the brakes are locked before the impact to prevent the shock wave from propelling the vehicle to other hazards.
