Coronavirus Theories: Biological Weapon? Remote virus with 5G?

The rapid expansion of the virus has given rise to endless hypotheses that are denied and lack scientific rigor.

What is the origin of the coronavirus? The number of people affected by coronavirus continues to grow worldwide. In Spain, there are already more than 2,500 people infected. However, today scientists continue to investigate the origin of this disease or where it comes from.

Fear and uncertainty, added to the vast amount of information circulating these days about the virus, have been creating a breeding ground conducive to the creation of assumptions, conjectures and conspiracy theories. We have collected the most viral and the official information sources that have denied them.

Origin of the Coronavirus: Biological Weapon

As already happened with the Zika epidemic in Spain, there are those who think that it may be a biological weapon designed to destroy a certain percentage of the po[CENSORED]tion. According to this theory, the virus was purposely invented at the Wuhan Disease Control and Prevention Center (WHCDC).

The objective, according to this theory, would be to reduce the elderly po[CENSORED]tion in the country or balance the percentage between men and women. There is a third line that points to an accidental spread of the virus. This was stated in an article in Tecnocrazy News. "It is becoming increasingly clear that the coronavirus is a biological weapon released on purpose or accidentally."

Scientists specialized in public health, among whom is the Spanish Luis Enjuanes, from the National Center for Biotechnology, belonging to the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), publicly denied this information through a statement in The Lancet magazine, defending the work of all health personnel.

"We have seen how public health professionals and medical professionals in China, in particular, have worked diligently and efficiently to quickly identify the pathogen behind this outbreak, put in place meaningful measures to reduce its impact, and share its results. with the health community worldwide. "

Through this manifesto they “strongly” condemn conspiracy theories that suggest that Covid-19 does not have a natural origin. "Scientists from multiple countries have analyzed genomes of the causal agent and the results overwhelmingly conclude that the origin is in wildlife."

The Virological scientific forum also collects another study that demonstrates, from a genetic point of view, that this virus was not created by humans.

Different origin of Coronavirus: Virus by remote control

Power agencies are also at the center of some of these assumptions. In several, Donald Trump is accused of orchestrating a plan to damage the structure of China as a world power. There are others that establish a connection between this virus, the 5G network and one of the most recurrent conspiracy theories in recent times: the so-called 'chemtrails', trails left by airplanes and with which, supposedly, they would spray chemical agents on the humanity.

This "smart powder" would have served to remotely control the virus using 5G technology, after it was implanted in the Chinese po[CENSORED]tion through compulsory vaccines.

This assumption, shared on social networks like Facebook, argues that Wuhan, the focus of the first outbreak of the disease, was the first Chinese city to launch 5G. However, there were 16 Chinese cities that implemented these technologies at the same time in a testing phase, according to information from various Asian media collected by the FullFact portal, in charge of denying hoaxes and false news.

The hypothesis also ensures that this technology weakens the immune system and makes its inhabitants more likely to become infected. At the moment, there is no evidence to support the detrimental effects of 5G. In 2014, the World Health Organization assured that they did not pose a risk.

Like 4G or 3G, it is transmitted through waves that are not ionizing, that is, they do not harm cells as, for example, X-rays can. The degree of exposure to these electromagnetic waves is very low in in relation to the legal limits and is below the reference level set by the International Commission for the Protection of Non-Ionizing Radiation.

Bill Gates does not have the patent

Another of the great protagonists of these alternative hypotheses is the English Pirbright Institute. Numerous information and WhastApp chains place him as the creator of this disease. It is true that in 2015 the agency registered a patent that came from the avian influenza virus, a coronavirus that affects poultry. There has even been speculation about whether Bill Gates could be the owner of such a patent.

The institute was quick to correct this information, ensuring that it only works with animals and not humans. The infeasibility of this theory also has to do with time. On more than one occasion the WHO has clarified that it was in late 2019 that the strain of the current outbreak (2019-nCoV) was discovered in Wuhan. Therefore, this patent is not the same as that of the Covid-19.

Origin Coronavirus: Epidemic VS. Infodemic

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently warned of the dangers of what it calls an "infodemic," a stream of disinformation that is spreading faster than the virus itself. Through a tweet, the agency called for the collaboration of "governments, citizens and the media, influencers and communities" in preventing and stopping stigma.

"We all need to be careful with our intentions and reflective when we communicate on social media and other platforms, displaying supportive behaviors about the Covid-19."
