As the weekend approaches, there is an urge for fresh air and a cozy interior. The opportunity to (re) discover 6 good films honoring country houses in France.

The country house from the film My Idol
First film by Guillaume Canet, Mon Idole tells the story of an ambitious young Parisian, who dreams of being a TV presenter. Thinking of reaching his goal, he follows a powerful producer in his country house. A stone's throw from Paris, this architectural nugget with a 70's decoration, a bit crazy, reflects the madness of its owners. A free and uneasy couple looking to have fun at all costs.

The bourgeois house of the film Eight Women
Lost in the middle of the snowy countryside, the house of the film Eight women by François Ozon ticks all the boxes of the perfect bourgeois mansion from the 50s. Dressed in wallpaper, velvet, caned furniture… It first diffuses an atmosphere comforting plush before turning into a mysterious crime scene.
