Corona in the Arab countries .. the latest numbers and "procedures"

The numbers of people infected with the new Corona virus in the Arab countries continue to rise, in parallel with the increasing number of people infected around the world, which prompted a number of countries in the region to take strict measures to confront the spread of the virus.
On Friday, the Kingdom of Bahrain announced the registration of 3 new infections with the Coruna virus, bringing the number of infected people to 36.

Bahrain said that the new cases were attributed to Bahraini women who arrived through indirect flights from Iran.

In Kuwait, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of two cases infected with Corona virus, bringing the total number of cases to 45 confirmed cases.

 

The assistant undersecretary for public health affairs, the assistant undersecretary for medical services in charge of assignment, Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf, said that the two cases that were registered were from contacts of people from Iran.

She added that the ministry, on Thursday, dealt with 118 passengers who were evacuated from Italy and that smears were taken from them, and no cases were identified among them, in addition to dealing with 22 passengers who came from Iran, they were transferred to quarantine.

Al-Mudhaf stressed that the Ministry is committed to applying the international health regulations to all confirmed cases of people infected with Coronavirus, explaining that the authorities will impose a declaration on all flights of passengers to submit to quarantine for a period of not less than two weeks, according to the appreciation of the Kuwaiti authorities

 

She added that violators would expose themselves to penalties and legal accountability.

The Kuwaiti army will suspend studies in colleges and military schools for a period of two weeks, as of March 1st. The study was also suspended at Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, and all training programs and activities at the Institute of Banking Studies were suspended.

KOC said that it suspended all official missions and internal and external training programs for its employees until further notice.

Lebanon

In Lebanon, the authorities stated that they had detected 3 cases of Corona virus during the past week, all of which had arrived from Iran.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport said that the transportation of arrivals from countries in which the outbreak of the new Coruna virus, including China, Iran, Italy and South Korea, has been stopped.

The decision includes transportation by air and sea, and excludes Lebanese citizens and foreigners residing in Lebanon.

As for Egypt, it denied the reports that a large number of cases of the new Corona virus had been discovered, stressing that it is completely naked.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Po[CENSORED]tion in Egypt and the World Health Organization announced that the only case of a new "Corona" virus inside the country had recovered for a "foreign" person, and he was discharged from the isolation hospital after confirming the negative laboratory results for him and spending the incubation period of the virus

And the official page of the Egyptian Cabinet Presidency was published on Facebook, Friday: "We affirm the complete transparency in dealing with any suspected cases of HIV infection, and that if there are suspected cases of HIV infection, it will be announced, and inform the World Health Organization immediately."The Presidency of the Egyptian Cabinet refuted the news of stopping quarantine procedures in Egyptian ports and airports.And it published on its page: "We confirm the continued tightening of all precautionary measures and preventive measures to prevent the entry of the Corona virus into the country through those coming from abroad."She added, "A comprehensive medical examination is conducted for all passengers coming to Egypt, and immediate treatment of any suspected case."
