And now, it's been officially revealed that Hopper, who allegedly died at the end of season 3, is ALIVE. It's also been confirmed that Chief Hopper is the American prisoner - putting to bed several theories. In a new teaser trailer, Hopper can be seen working in the snowy field of Kamchatka, with a shaved head. While it's no surprise that he's alive, fans previously thought he could have been stuck in the Upside Down. Watch the trailer at the top of the page. In the video, a sign saying 'Welcome to Hawkins' can be seen in the Upside Down alongside what looks like Hopper's cabin. The words "We're not in Hawkins anymore" flash up on screen. The latest news? Filming for season 4 has started. According to Netflix Life, the crew along with some cast members have begun production in Lithuania. Filming in Atlanta is reportedly set to start in March. Millie Bobby Brown recently confirmed that season 4 filming is set to begin "early this year". According to TV Line, filming will wrap sometime around August with a potential December 2020/January 2021 release date on the cards. A new casting call has got fans speculating about which year Stranger Things 4 will be set in. A 'vintage vehicle' call has specified that car years should be '1987 and older models only.' Does that mean we're jumping forward a year? Or does it mean season 4 end at some point in 1987? 1
