It is no coincidence that the winter months are full of holidays - in order to have reasons to be happier and happier, despite the low mood, low tone and bad weather. And, after all, no one can be cheerful and smile all the time! Some of the finest works in literature, film and poetry have been created by their authors when they were unhappy or sad. However, depression is something different - it is not just a bad mood that catches us in the morning and leaves us at noon. She is in a bad mood for days and months, combined with anxiety, insomnia and other side effects of the most common mental suffering in the world. Unfortunately, while in the spring and summer depression seems to recede to the sun and heat, in the fall and winter season it comes back full force. No one knows exactly what causes depression - it can be a specific event or combination of factors, but who once had a depressive period in their life is aware that the symptoms do not disappear easily, but they may come back and be surprised. Depression is not a diagnosis that can be handed out and treated with a light hand, much less - neglected. It is a suffering that in its severe manifestations comes with a number of dangerous symptoms - hallucinations, severe apathy and suicidal thoughts, and then should not in any case be ignored, and on the contrary - requires lightning intervention by a doctor and, if necessary, taking medication. . Mild and moderate depression, on the other hand, can be treated by ourselves as long as we know the right practices and products that will help us overcome anxiety and insomnia and enjoy a normal life again. For starters, we need to make sure that what we are struggling with is some kind of depression, not really an accidental bad mood because of failed plans or some other factor that made us feel bad. However, if the symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and lack of happiness continue and prevent you from living a normal life and fulfilling your responsibilities, then we can assume that you do have a mild to moderate depression. If there was a rating for the most depressing season of the year, then winter would surely top it, and since there is still plenty of time until spring and summer, what we can do is turn to nature at ... the pharmacy . St. John's wort, which we all know, is the main ingredient in one of the good fighters for autumn-winter depression. It contributes to the management and short-term treatment of some of the most common symptoms of depression - labile mood, internal anxiety, anxiety, states of tension, difficulty falling asleep, and restless sleep. Its main composition is a dry extract of the above-ground parts of the plant Hypericum perforatum (St. John's wort) collected during the flowering period. And if the symptoms persist or return with greater force - seek medical attention. There is nothing shameful about depression - the more a society is aware of the issue, the more relevant we will be to our people, to our own emotional state and to those of others.
