Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt To Start New Champagne Partnership

Pitt and Jolie were introduced to the Perrins, a French winemaking family who gained their expertise in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, after they arrived in Provence. The Perrins were attracted by the fact that the Miraval estate had been organic for the previous 40 years and they proposed a partnership. The Telegraph reported that whilst Pitt and Jolie own the estate, the Perrins own 50% of the Miraval Provence company, which runs production and marketing. The Perrin estate, according to winespectator.com, helped prop up the Miraval estate during the legal bartering between the couple during their divorce.

Many in the industry wondered what would become of the record-breaking wine after a potentially drawn-out legal debate. However, the vineyard hasn’t appeared to suffer, recently announcing a new project between the Perrin family, the Miraval estate and a champagne house in Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Marne. According to Les Echos, the head of the champagne house, Rodolphe Peters, told AFP that it will be the only champagne house to produce only rosé.
