The Next Generation of Land Cruiser Will Be A Hybrid

The last generation of Toyota Land Cruiser was launched in 2007. According to the media news from Japan now Toyota has decided to enter the next generation of Land Cruiser in the mid of 2020. Its almost a very long time spent with the old generation of Land Cruiser. In the last year, the company has discontinued the production rumors of Land Cruiser.

 

The technology moved with the passage of time and auto manufacturers always follow the advanced technology according to consumer demand. The previous generation of Land Cruiser is not a hybrid engine power but it is expected the upcoming generation of Land Cruiser will be 3.5 liter V6 hybrid engine power but it’s not confirmed it will happen if the company uses a Hybrid engine.

Moreover, it is expected that the new generation of Land Cruiser will adopt the modular Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform which is helpful to reduce the weight of vehicles substantially. Might be the upcoming generation will be updated with ladder-frame structure. If the auto manufacturers use TNGA it will help to increase the capability of running on off-road.

 

Furthermore, it is expected that a six-speed automatic gearbox will be replaced with a CVT transmission. If we talk about the exterior might be the company will not completely change the exterior of the new generation because it’s fine with old exterior just a few shapes and minor changing will happen in the new generation.
