Google Chrome has been one of the most po[CENSORED]r browsers for a few years now, but if you have a kid or want to be more efficient in the office, it's good to learn how to block a website with a password. If you do most of the work from your office in front of a computer connected to the internet, the possibility of procrastination is very high. Without realizing it, open a link received on Messenger or Mail, scroll through a few articles, or scroll through Facebook and it's time. Fortunately, there are solutions you can call to be significantly more effective by blocking certain web pages. The idea of blocking access to various sites through Chrome extensions also has benefits if you give your kids a laptop and you want to make sure they don't get on some malicious sites or some content that is forbidden to minors. Regardless of the scenario you have in mind, to reach your goal, you can use the Block Site extension, available for free download from Chrome WebStore. After installation, you will have an additional icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome window with the letter W. Click on it when you want to block access to a web address that you have displayed in front of your eyes. In order not to accidentally press that button, you must confirm the decision to block access to that web page. To customize more parameters of the Block Site extension, right-click the W-icon on the top right and go to Options. You will encounter a window like the one below. Type a password at the top of the screen that you will need to type each time you want to unlock a previously blocked web page. A little below, in User Message, you can define a message that appears when a site is blocked. You can manually enter new domains you want blocked in the Block section of new hostname, and click Add to confirm. It is very important to click Save at the bottom of the window to apply the changes.
