With half of the tournament played and during recess, the Argentine Football Super League defined the areas of the 2020 Super League Cup: the two groups were formed for the contest that will begin in mid-March and close the 2019/2020 season.

From the organism that regulates the first category of Argentine soccer they used a special software, in charge of the Institute of Calculation of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and of CONICET, in order to make the division of the clubs in the most fair way possible and The fixture of the competition.

One of the great requirements to take into account at the time of the conformation was that of the descents. Thus, the last ten teams were taken from the averages table -Lanús (1,352), Students (1,308), Banfield (1,235), Rosario Central (1,235), Newell's (1,220), Colón (1,176), Central Córdoba ( 1,125), Aldosivi (1,097), Patronato (1,058) and Gymnastics (1,029) - and five were separated for each side. It should be remembered that the eleven dates that the first part of the Super League Cup will demand will count towards the average.

Despite this technology applied when it comes to shaping the tournament scheme, some users showed their disagreement since the three teams that so far are losing the category share the same area. Although it will be necessary to wait until the end of the Super League to see how the teams are accommodated with the average, not only those in the red zone, but all, since they could even leave the range that was used for the software.

The Cup will start on March 8 and end on May 31, the day of the final match. The group stage will consist of confrontations all against all at a single wheel, in which the two best in each zone will classify the semifinals. The first of a group will be measured against the second of the other and the final will be a single match on neutral court.

The fixture with the detail of each date and locations will be published during this week.

The areas were armed like this:

A: Arsenal, Banfield, Boca, Central Córdoba, Gymnastics, Godoy Cruz, Independiente, Newell’s, Patronato, San Lorenzo, Unión and Vélez

B: Aldosivi, Argentinos, Atlético Tucumán, Colón, Defense and Justice, Students, Hurricane, Lanús, Racing, River, Rosario Central and Workshops.

(*) The same areas and fixture to be published during this week will also be for the Reserve Super League Cup 2019.

The requirements designed to achieve sports equity:

1) All the localities are invested between the last 10 averages of the descent at the time of making the fixture.

2) They are distributed from the last 10 averages of the descent, 5 in one area and 5 in another.

3) All locations are invested among the so-called large ones in the same area.

4) Boca-River, Racing-Independent, Central-Newells, Colon-Union and Gymnastics-Students have crossed patterns, that is when one is local the other is a visitor.

5) Do not face big on consecutive dates.

6) There are no matches between big first or last date.

7) To balance trips, 2 clusters are assembled, Interior (with 5 teams in each zone) and Capital, Greater Buenos Aires and La Plata (with 7 teams in each zone).

8) The solution complies that each team in a cluster plays "even" in terms of locations against those of the other cluster. For example, one of BA plays 3L and 2V, or 3V and 2L against those of the Interior.

9) No team can have more than 2 non-inverted locations, of the 11 it plays.

10) There are no clashes between the 10 worst of the average last 2 dates.

11) All teams will finish the regular season by playing 17 home games and 17 away games (regardless of the game they play in the semifinals).

12) With these requirements we will obtain a solution that has 10 non-investments; that is, 92% of the parties / localities are invested.
