WHAT IS IT ?: It is the new top-end version of the Peugeot SUV for Segment B (boy). Expands the family of 2008 (2020), which was released for sale in August 2019 (read review). It arrives imported from Brazil and is already on sale in our market.

MECHANICAL: THP 1.6 turbonaftero engine (165 hp and 240 Nm). Six-speed automatic transmission (Aisin, with torque converter). Front-wheel drive, with Grip Control. A Sport THP version is also offered, but with manual gearbox (read review).

THE MOST: Although it seems strange, it is the first time that 2008 is offered with the combination of its most powerful engine and automatic transmission. It was time.

THE LESS: It costs 450 thousand pesos more than the Sport THP Manual version.

The THP (Turbo High Pressure) engine, internationally awarded, has the best Power-Performance ratio in the segment. It is a turbo impeller with 16 valves and direct injection. The turbocharger is Twin-scroll type, with high pressure electronic pump, oil pump with flow management and double crankcase.

The Sport THP version also has the Grip Control system, a device whose objective is to assist the driver by reducing skating and optimizing motor skills in different areas such as snow, sand or mud. The Grip Control has 5 manual settings (standard, sand, snow, mud or ESP Off).

The 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox (now also available with the THP engine), offers 4 driving modes (Drive, Eco, Sport and Sequential), adapting the vehicle's operation to the driver's needs, whether for answers more sports (Sport / Sequential), to reduce the consumption in up to 6.5% of fuel in situations of intense traffic or, simply, to have a smooth and comfortable driving (Drive).
