[4]RuneR
Juan Ramón Quintana was until just over two weeks ago part of the "hard wing" of the Evo Morales government. Now, the new Bolivian authorities are searching for sedition and terrorism. The State Prosecutor General's Office issued an arrest warrant against Quintana, former Minister of the Presidency, also accused of financing terrorism and public instigation to commit crimes. The interim government believes that Quintana, who returned to the government earlier this year after spending less than two years as an ambassador to Cuba, took refuge at the Mexican embassy in La Paz. Jeanine Áñez promulgates the law to call new elections in Bolivia without Evo Morales as a candidate Arturo Murillo, the current Minister of Government (Interior), points him as responsible for the "insurrection process" which, according to him, is the protests of Morales supporters against the interim government. The arrest warrant against Quintana was preceded by controversial statements by Murillo, who barely took office on November 13 announced "the hunt for Juan Ramón Quintana."
