Suzuki New Vitara (2020)

WHAT IS IT ?: It is a restyling of Suzuki's SUV for Segment B (boy). It replaces the New Vitara that has been commercialized since August 2016 (read review). It arrives imported from Hungary and is already on sale in our market.

MECHANICAL: It continues with the same configuration: 1.6 16v gasoline engine with variable distribution (120 hp and 156 Nm). Five-speed manual or automatic gearbox with torque converter, with six gears and driving cams. The manual gearbox is combined with front-wheel drive only. The automatic, with front-wheel drive or the AllGrip 4WD all-wheel drive system, with four driving modes (Auto, Lock, Snow and Sport).

THE MOST: It costs the same as the Jimny, but offers more power and a much more comfortable cabin.

THE LESS: It costs the same as Jimny, but not even has its design, charisma, personality and ability off-road. Have we said we like Jimny a lot? (read review).

Launch Suzuki New Vitara 2020

Inchcape Latam, official distributor of Suzuki in Argentina, launched the New Vitara 2020 for sale. Made in Hungary, the New Vitara represents a restyling of the previous version with an aesthetic renovation, mainly in the front design of the bumper and the grill.
In addition, it features a redesign of LED headlights, tires, taillights, internal torpedo material, analog clock, upholstery and armrests. There are also improvements in the system of closing doors and trunk, and more functions in the on-board computer.

The retail value for the New Vitara 1.6 GLX 4WD version is USD 35,000 (price list for the month of November).

The most outstanding features of Suzuki New Vitara are:
• Exterior design: Unique style that combines the image of a truck with modern details and the spirit of a 4 × 4.
• CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 6.75´´ touch screen, USB, Bluetooth and command control at the wheel.
• Panoramic Sunroof: This roof is composed of two sliding glass panels that give an open roof feel.
• Allgrip System: It comes equipped with Suzuki Allgrip all-wheel drive system, an evolution of the 4 × 4 system, where the driver can, from the central programming knob of easy operation, and according to the terrain conditions and the type of handling, configure the vehicle, according to the following modes:
• AUTO Mode: for automatic activation of the 4 × 4 system, depending on the terrain conditions, in this mode the vehicle manages all controls automatically, with emphasis on maximum fuel efficiency management.
• SPORT Mode: mode established for sports driving, where the vehicle determines parameters for maximum use of the vehicle's power, in addition to enjoying the dynamic behavior of the Suzuki Vitara to the fullest.
• SNOW Mode: mode set to ride safely on slippery surfaces, such as mud or snow.
• LOCK Mode: mode that complements the snow mode and makes the Suzuki Vitara have maximum traction.
