A report by the State Department on terrorist groups indicates that the majority of organizations operating in the Middle East have lost strength and their threat is minor.

Martyrs Brigade Aka al-Aqsa.

It was designated on March 27, 2002 and is composed of Fatah-affiliated activist cells that emerged at the beginning of the al-Aqsa Intifada in September 2000. It strives to establish a Palestinian state loyal to Fatah.

In 2002, the group attacked Israeli civilians within Israel. In January 2002, the responsibility of the first suicide attack committed by a woman in Israel was attributed. In 2010 and 2011, the group launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli communities.

According to the report, in 2015, al-Aqsa declared an open war against Israel and requested funds from Iran to help him in his fight against Israel in a televised broadcast. In it, a fighter showed a new two-mile tunnel that crosses the border under Gaza and Israel, which the leader claimed would be used in the next battle rounds.

Most of the Brigade's operational activity is in Gaza, but it has also planned and executed attacks within Israel and the West Bank.

According to the report, Iran has provided the Brigade with funds and guidance, mainly through Hezbollah facilitators.
