The motherboard is a key element for the proper functioning of the computer, and unfortunately, it is usually one that is most spared when it comes to mounting a new computer. The motherboard is responsible for communicating with the CPU with the memory, with the storage units, with the graphics card and with all other elements and peripherals. The quality level of the motherboard must be consistent with that of the rest of the equipment, and if we are assembling something of the latest generation, such as an AMD Ryzen 3000, we must make sure to use a modern board capable of squeezing these processors to the maximum, such as case of the X570 AORUS MASTER.

Characteristics and technical specifications of the X570 AORUS MASTER motherboard

The X570 AORUS MASTER motherboard is one of the first high-end motherboards to bring the new AMD chipset, the X570. Thanks to him we will be able to squeeze the maximum power of the new Ryzen processors, in addition to making the most of all the other components of our computer, especially the PCIe 4.0 ports.
CPU and memory

This motherboard is specially prepared to work with the new AMD Ryzen 3000, in addition to being compatible with Ryzen from past generations, both with and without integrated graphics.

The motherboard also has a total of 4 slots for DDR4 Dual Channel RAM. Reinforced slots in which we can install up to 128 GB of RAM (4 x 32 GB). This RAM can operate from 2133 MHz to 3200 MHz without overclocking, although with OC it can reach up to 4400 MHz in third-generation Ryzen. RAM is compatible with XMP.
Graphics and PCIe

On this board we can find a total of 3 PCIe 16x ports (two of them PCIe Gen 4 and the third Gen 3) to get the most out of the graphics cards. In addition, we also found a fourth PCIe 16x port controlled by the chipset.

This board allows mounting multi-GPU configurations. We can configure Quad-GPU SLI or a dual channel NVIDIA SLI. We can also mount AMD Quad-GPU CrossFire and 2-Way AMD CrossFire configurations.

Finally, we will have a 1x PCIe port.

If we want to be able to use all PCIe Gen 4 ports, it is necessary to have a Ryzen 3000.
Storage

This motherboard has 6 SATA 6Gb / s ports that we can use to connect both SSD and other types of drives, both storage and optical.

This motherboard also has 3 M.2 ports to connect NVMe drives. The 3 ports are compatible with PCIe 4.0 4x (when using Ryzen 3000 processors) and otherwise they will work at PCIe 3.0 4x / 2x speed. The first of the M.2 connectors can also function as M.2 SATA.
LAN and Wi-Fi

The first of the network cards, LAN1, uses an Intel chip to offer us a Gigabit Ethernet connection of up to 1 Gbps. The second of the network cards, LAN2, has a Realtek chip to offer us 2.5GbE connectivity of up to 2500 Mbps.

In addition to the two network cards, this board has a dual channel 802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ax Wi-Fi module that allows us to work with 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. It also incorporates a module Bluetooth 5.0.
BLUETOOTH 5.0
Audio and USB

The AORUS MASTER has 8 USB 2.0 ports (4 on the rear panel and 4 via internal connectors). In addition, it also has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C head, a USB Type-C on the back of the board, a USB 3.2 port on the back and 4 USB 3.1 ports via a motherboard connector.

We can also find 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and two other USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports controlled by the CPU itself (for Ryzen 3000).

As for the audio, this motherboard has a Realtek ALC1220-VB 2/4 / 5.1 / 7.1-channel codec with S / PDIF output and an ESS SABER9118 DAC for sound in the highest quality.
Other benefits

DUAL BIOS of 128 Mbit (2x 128 MB).
    Q-Flash Plus
    Clear CMOS button.
    Xpress Install
    TMP.
Detectors of voltage, temperature, fan speed, water pumps with warnings of overheating, overvoltage or fan failures.

Unboxing, analysis and first impressions of the X570 AORUS MASTER motherboard

The X570 AORUS MASTER motherboard comes in a cardboard box, similar to that of other models of this manufacturer, in which the eagle logo predominates. This motherboard is characterized by being prepared for the new AMD Ryzen 3000, in addition to having PCIe 4.0 ports and carrying built-in Wi-Fi 6 chipset.

On the back of the box we will find most of the features and specifications of this board. Specifications we have already discussed in the previous point of the review.

The first thing we will find when we open the box will be with the motherboard properly protected and inside an antistatic bag. However, before seeing this motherboard in detail we will see the rest of the accessories included. The first thing that catches our attention is a page of stickers that we can use to decorate our computer. In addition, we will also find a CD with the drivers, an instruction manual and an adhesive spike for the tower.

Underneath everything we will find all the accessories that shape this tower. The first we are going to see are acoustic and thermal sensors. These will allow us to measure the sound inside the tower, in addition to the temperature at certain points on the motherboard. Very useful for users who want to have everything controlled, although complicated to use and exploit if we do not have much knowledge of advanced hardware.

We will also find different screws for NVMe units, Velcro strips to tie cables in our tower and have it as organized as possible, and the adapter for the tower's power pins.

We will also find 4 SATA cables to connect SSDs, hard drives and optical readers, as well as cables to control RGB lighting of the tower.

Finally, we will find the Wi-Fi antenna that we must connect to the rear panel to get the best possible coverage.

Finally we go into detail with the motherboard. As we see, this plate has dark colors and has its elements distributed like any other plate. The first thing that catches our attention is that the PCIe 16x slots (which has 3) and those of the RAM are reinforced with aluminum. In addition, it has several heatsinks distributed among the elements that are most commonly heated on the boards, such as the chipset.

The rear part is fully reinforced to give strength and resistance to the plate. Something important if we consider that the highest-end heatsinks weigh a lot. With this reinforcement we will prevent the plate from bending.

In the back panel of the board we will find all the connectors of it.

In the upper part of the motherboard we will find the socket for the processor and the RAM modules.

At the top we will find the CPU power connector, in addition to two FAN connectors for the processor heatsink. Continuing at the top we will also find RGB connectors. In the upper right part of the motherboard we will find two buttons to turn on and restart the computer, in addition to a display that will allow us to see, in code, the status of the POST. We will also have two switches that will allow us to configure the DUAL BIOS.
