The Aprilia RS 660 was undoubtedly the unexpected star of the last Milan Motor Show, surprising with its beautiful line and its new online twin-cylinder engine, derived from that of the RSV4 1100.

We already know that the Noale brand will launch a 660 range, with RS as a flagship model, as well as a naked and a trail.

Now on Aprilia's Facebook, a photo of the final version of the RS 660 taken in a circuit has been shown, in the testing phase.

Already in the renders of the production version we saw the logic ‘economization’ of the motorcycle that we will see in production (and in the EICMA 2019).
Different from that of Milan

The fairing is different from that of the motorcycle seen in Milan. According to Aprilia, work has been done to optimize aerodynamic penetration and efficiency.

As we see in the photo, the series motorcycle has been ‘civilized’ compared to last year: the seat is thicker, the semi-handlebars are higher and the footrests do not seem to be very delayed.

The motorcycle of the Italian Salon mounted Öhlins suspensions that here seem to be replaced by more conventional Sachs or Marzocchi.

The chassis seems to be basically the same, but not the swingarm, much simpler than the EICMA. This element is asymmetrical, to allow fit the exhaust, located very low.

The brake calipers, which in the ‘concept’ were Brembo monobloc ‘black leg’ radials, are still radial and perhaps monobloc, but simpler. The same pump changes: from a radial in the prototype, to a conventional one in the render. Also the tires of the drawings were different from those of Milan 2018.
