Sergio Trepat will open again the exclusive dealership for BMW M sports cars

Between March 2012 and August 2015, in the corner of Avenida del Libertador and Urquiza, in the Buenos Aires town of Acassuso, the only dealership in Argentina operated exclusively for BMW M sports cars. It was a venture of businessman Sergio Trepat, which now announced a second stage for that project: in December it will reopen the same premises in Acassuso, which will now also sell models of the BMW M Performance range.

Trepat confirmed the news yesterday to Autoblog: “We decided to try again and we will do it in the same corner, because it remained in the memory of people as an emblematic place of BMW M. We will sell the full range of pure M models, but also M Performance variants, such as the current M140i, M240i and M850i ”, explained Trepat, in his historic Vicente López dealership, which will soon also open an extension.

The closure of the BMW M store in Acassuso was due at the time to the obstacles for importation. In that same place a MVAgusta dealership later operated, belonging to the Cassano family, which also lowered the blind after two years. Today the place is empty, but it already has the “rented” sign. The renovation works will begin in the next few days.

"From previous experience we learned that it is essential to have a good stock of units, to cope with the possible fluctuations of the situation," Trepat explained. “The units for that place are already in the country and soon more will arrive. There is stock of some models so that customers choose even the color of their BMW M, ”he added.

“While this is not the best moment in the market, our experience indicates that this exclusive segment always remains active. We have many customers who are already making inquiries about the new BMW M, which we will soon sell in Acassuso, ”he explained.

For the opening of the premises in December, Trepat will present two novelties: the M3 M Performance and M4 M Performance, two variants of the current sports of Segment D (medium), with an even more exclusive preparation. The equipment and prices will be known in the coming days.

In addition, the M5 Competition will be exhibited, which is currently at the Trepat store in Vicente López (photo above). It is a unique copy in our country. The arrival of the new X3M and X4M is expected next year, which Autoblog has already tested in the United States (read review). Trepat also announced the arrival of the Z4 M40i, the most powerful and six-cylinder version of the roadster launched for sale last August.
