KEPY™ Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 This Tuesday the deputies of the Parliamentary Block of the Homeland rejected an agreement approved by the opposition majority in the National Assembly in contempt of the Essequibo, considering it a strategy to support future interventionist actions of their foreign allies against the national sovereignty. “You (right) are playing to weaken the legitimate authorities: President Nicolás Maduro, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza so that there is no just claim of the territory, but there is the determination of our people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) as it happened with the incident of the ships that were exploring in the territory and that were removed by the determination of our FANB ”, said the deputy for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Saúl Ortega, during his intervention in the ordinary session of the legislative body. He stressed that the right is at the service of the interests of the United States, England, the Lima Group and economic factors such as the transnational oil company Exxon Mobil. "That history records who is really going to defend the interests of the Republic," Ortega said. The deputy for the PSUV, Earle Herrera, asked the right-wing parliamentarians if they are willing to truly defend the sovereignty of Venezuela and requested that the proposed agreement begin with the rejection of the commitments on the Essequibo by Juan Guaidó and his group.
