Inkriql
In May 2015, the project of the Sero Electric was presented in La Matanza, an electric car of national production, which was initially born to be used in enclosed spaces. Four years later, in the Morón industrial park, the Homologated Sero Electric was presented this morning: it is the first electric car manufactured in Argentina, which is also authorized to circulate on public roads. At this time, the company founded by businessman Pablo Naya - owner of Peugeot-Citroën dealers, who decided to create their own local automaker - went through different processes, including the manufacture of the first PreSerie units (read Autoblog review). “Argentina is not a simple country to build and do things. But here we are, with a plant that we are still missing. We started in 2010, with a paper and a pencil to see what was coming: electric and sustainable mobility, which is what this planet needs to start taking care of it ”, explained Naya in today's presentation, where the sale was launched Homologated version of the Sero Electric. For the first time, the vehicle obtained permission from the Government to be patented, insured and circulated on public roads. The characteristics, data sheet and prices were published here. The event was attended by the Minister of Production of the Nation, Dante Sica: “From a car industry we are moving to a mobility industry. And Argentina is one of the countries that is adapting faster to this paradigm shift. This is a day of celebration, for the achievement of a national company. In a few years, when we see Sero Electric grow and be in the daily life of our streets, we will remember a lot about this day. ” During the presentation, the expansion was announced, with new models for the transport of products. “Today we have twelve people inside the plant. Until now, the market was very limited. We have only produced 150 units. Now, with the Model Configuration License that allowed us to approve it, we can start projecting another growth landscape, ”explained Naya.
