The end of this 2019 arrives and with it the last arreón for the sales in front of the Christmas parties. That is why brands are striving to launch their products so that they are on the shelves by those dates. ASUS is doing the same by announcing its new gaming monitor: the VG259Q, a model within the TUF Gaming range with interesting features.

In recent months, the world of monitors was mostly directed towards large panels, understood as large 34 inches up.

Perhaps, special emphasis has been placed on BFGD (Big Format Gaming Displays) and monitors that offer a wider width with [CENSORED]ture such as 21: 9, but in turn, these are a fairly small market niche at the moment.

The high price means that not so many monitors of this type are acquired as of the low range, it happens in all products, so, taking advantage of the moment, ASUS introduces a monitor that should be placed in the current and best-selling mid-range.

Their new VG259Q is part of the TUF Gaming line, which they are promoting as it targets the bulk of current players, and this gaming monitor is no exception.

It has a size of 24.5 inches that will allow a perfect synchrony and dimensions with its resolution FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels).

As a good gaming monitor you get a refresh rate of 144 Hz with ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology with 1 ms of MPRT, so we will not have the dreaded Ghosting and instead we will get a much more successful approach to movement.

It also has Adaptive-Sync technology through AMD FreeSync (48 Hz - 144 Hz and only by DisplayPort), which will allow us to reduce almost completely the hated Tearing and the repudiated stuttering, problems of the past that are buried with current technology.
IPS panel with great brightness and Shadow Boost technology

As expected by the holder, this ASUS VG259Q carries an IPS panel that achieves a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m2 and a contrast of 1000: 1, which will rise to 100,000,000: 1 using ASUS ASCR technology.

Its viewing angles are the best available for this type of panel (178º (H) / 178º (V)) where its pixel pitch is set at 0.2832 x 0.2802mm, so the sharpness will be very good.

Its general features are completed with ASUS GamePlus technology, Low Blue Light, GameVisual and Shadow Boost, the latter will improve the shadows to see our hidden enemies.

Its connectivity goes through two 2-watt RMS speakers, two HDMI 1.4 and a DisplayPort 1.2, along with a 3.5 mm jack. Its measures are 563 x (357 ~ 487) x 221 mm and its net weight is 5.1 Kg, where we can dispense with its base as it supports VESA 100 x 100 mm.
