[Review] Lego Batman 2 DC super heroes

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a video game of Lego and DC comics released in June 2012, and is the sequel to Lego Batman: The Video Game (2008). It was developed by Traveller's Tales and marketed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. There are versions for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. A wide variety of DC Comics characters in and out of Batman's continuity will be playable characters. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes also features dialogue, the second Lego game from Traveller's Tales to do so.

Plot

Gotham's "Man of the Year" award is being presented to Bruce Wayne with Lex Luthor being runner-up. Everything is going well until a group of Batman villains (The Penguin, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Two Faces, and The Joker) appear. Bruce Wayne comes out and changes to the Bat-suit and becomes Batman. Along with Robin, Batman confronts and defeats all villains, but Joker escapes. After a prolonged persecution, Batman captures the Joker and is thrown into Arkham Asylum. Some time later, Lex Luthor arrives at the asylum and takes out the Joker using a weapon called "The Deconstructor" (which deconstructs unbreakable black objects, and feeds only with kryptonite). The Joker then uses the weapon to free all Arkham prisoners. Batman is called to repress villains. After capturing several of the villains in the maze of the Asylum, he discovers pieces of bricks that have the energy signal from Luthor's weapon.

After learning about a robbery in Chemistry Ace, Batman and Robin look for clues about what the Joker is doing. After an explosion begins to destroy the factory, the Dynamic Duo is rescued by Superman. Batman finds out what the Joker intended. Stolen chemicals from the plant that, although not particularly dangerous alone, can be combined to form a synthetic kryptonite. Analyzing the signal on the computer aboard the Batmobile, Batman and Robin reach Lex Luthor's convoy and infiltrate it. After a brief skirmish, Batman is expelled from the massive convoy and enters the Batmobile. Unfortunately, Joker has completed his synthetic Kryptonite (which is used to power Luthor's weapon) and uses it to blow up the Batmobile. Back in the Batcave, Batman is trying to figure out Luthor's next move when suddenly they are attacked by Lex Luthor and the Joker. Using the Deconstructor, they tear Batman's home. Having no way out, Batman reluctantly allows Robin to call Superman for help and escape the cave that collapses.

Batman and Superman team up and attack Luthor's massive aircraft. Batman is expelled after facing Lex Luthor and Superman saves him. They then try to infiltrate Luthor's LexCorp headquarters in Metropolis, but are caught and forced to break through. After arriving at the center of the fortress-like building, Luthor reveals a giant Joker-like robot and flees back to Gothic City. After trying to sabotage the robot on the road to Gothic, Superman and Batman are expelled when the kryptonite power source is exposed and Superman begins to lose power. A weakened Superman and Batman then realize Luthor's plan. Using the special gases of the Joker, he can make everyone agree with him and win the Presidency. Batman and Superman then attack the robot again and force it to crash. After damaging him further, with the help of Robin, Batman pulls out most of the robot's kryptonite, making a giant face of Joker in Gothic visible from the Watchtower. In turn, the Justice League is called by Detective Marciano. Realizing that he has been defeated, Lex Luthor begins to besiege the Wayne Tower. The Justice League arrives to help Batman and Superman and successfully stop and destroy the robot. With all the inmates of Arkham, Lex Luthor and The Joker captured, Batman says it's good for him to have friends whom he can call if necessary. They all decide to repair the Batcave as a Green Lantern fires a beam of green energy into the space where it calls some of the other Green Lanterns to help.

In a hint of a future title, Brainiac is seen on his ship looking at a screen with energy while saying "I have located it."

Superheros

    Batman: Keep using your batarangs and your hook. They also return their costumes, but with different abilities, such as the Power Suit, the Electricity Suit, the Sensor Suit, and the Bat Suit. Now you saw a black suit and is one of the three protagonists of the game. He appears as Bruce Wayne.

    Aquaman: He is able to swim and breathe in the water, he carries a trident that allows him to spray endless jets of water.
    Cyborg: It is magnetic and can shoot lasers from its artificial eye.
    Detective Marciano: You can fly, you have Martian vision, super strength, and you are invincible. It can be unlocked after the player gets 175 golden bricks and builds a golden door.
    Black Canary: She is the only woman capable of using a sonic scream to destroy lego crystal objects.
    Halcon Girl: You can attack your enemies with your hammer and fly, its appearance is that of the comic. It is seen on the Justice League screen.
    Halcon Man: His abilities are the same as Halcon Girl's.

Supervillains

    Joker: He is Batman's arch nemesis, his appearance is very different from that of the previous game, he joins forces with Lex Luthor to destroy Batman, Robin and Superman. It is one of the 2 Main Antagonists.
    Lex Luthor: He is the arch nemesis of Superman, joins forces with The Joker. Use a weapon made with Kryptonite that makes any Black Lego thing remain in single blocks. It is one of the 2 Main Antagonists.
    Two Faces: His hair is equal to the previous game, the eye on the deformed side of his face is only white, and his suit is the same as the previous game only that his colors change from black and white to purple and orange.
    The Scarecrow: It is the same as the previous game. Only it uses a Gas that makes it giant and immortal. He is held in Arkham and the player faces him in Mission in Arkham
    Gatúbela: Its appearance is equal to that of the previous game with the exception that it has painted violet lips.
    Bane: his appearance does not change much to that of the previous game, here he does not wear gloves and has a line in the middle of the mouthpiece that is in his mask.
    Bill Arnold: Evil Enemy of Superman & been to be bad!
    Poison Ivy: her appearance changes a lot, her hairstyle is not straight, she wears a dress of plants and leaves unlike the other game where she used only one of leaves, does not spray poisonous gas but uses a small plant as a whip.
    The Riddle: His suit is basically the same as the previous one, only that his symbol is black, his belt has a question mark and in this game he wears a gray hat with the same sign.
    Killer Croc: His appearance is equal to that of the Prequel only that his Jean is broken down. He cameo in Mission in Arkham where he should be given a Roast Turkey to let Robin through.
    Mr. Cold: Your appearance is the same as the previous game although it freezes (like others) differently than the previous game. He cameo in Mission in Arkham where he comes out hitting his cell. You can freeze your Waterfall.
    Brainiac: He was the one who left a clue to a possible future video game and leaving the Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Open Final. Your UFO is affordable and can be found in Gotham Robinson Park. It costs 500,000 coins. It was also mentioned by a News in a LEGO TV News.
