[1] It's an independent sequel to Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat, a community-created mod for the Valve Source engine. [2] The game was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux on January 22, 2014. The game received mixed and positive reviews from game critics, who compared it to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but was acclaimed for Players. for his realism, severe difficulty, support of mods, sound design, animations, levels and playability, and he was equally praised for its optimization. Playability The objective of Insurgency varies between game modes.Game modes There are a total of nine online game modes and five cooperative game modes. Online game modes Push: The attacking team must capture three territorial targets in sequential order. For each captured target, more reinforcements are made available and more time is given to capture the next target. The defenders must protect the targets of the attackers. If the attackers can capture all three targets, they must find and destroy the cache. At this point, defenders only have one life to defend against attackers. The game ends when either team runs out of reinforcements and players or time. Shooting: Both teams must fight each other to capture the three territorial objectives. Each player has only one life and can only reappear after his team has captured a goal. A team wins when all the other team is eliminated or the three objectives are captured. Skirmish: Like Firefight, there are three territorial objectives that both teams have to capture. Each computer also as a cache to protect. If both teams' caches are destroyed, the game will be played as Firefight. To win, the cache must be destroyed and all three targets captured. Occupy: each team has a certain number of booster waves. There is a central territorial objective that teams have for capture. The team that is in possession of the target will receive infinite reinforcement waves. The game is won when the other team has run out of waves of reinforcement and there are no players left. Ambush: a team has a VIP that they must escort to a final location, while the other team must prevent the convoy from reaching its final destination. The game ends when the VIP arrives at its destination, or when the VIP is killed. Hit: the attacking team must destroy the three hiding places of the defending team. For each cache that destroys the attacking team, time and additional reinforcements are rewarded. The game ends when the attacking team runs out of reinforcements and players, or when the three hiding places are destroyed. Infiltrate: each team must capture and return the enemy's information to its base. Reinforcements are only rewarded when enemy information is captured or when the enemy is eliminated with information that belongs to the player's team. (This game mode has been discontinued) Flash point: each team receives two caches with a neutral territorial objective. The game ends when the opposing team's caches are destroyed and the entire territory is captured. (This game mode has been discontinued) Elimination: the attacking team must destroy one of the two hiding places belonging to the defending team. Each player has only one life. The game ends when one of the caches is destroyed, or when all the attacking team is eliminated. Cooperative Game Modes Control point: players are grouped into a team and must complete objectives based on missions against AI. Each completed objective will give fallen players another life. Hunting: players are grouped into a team and must eliminate the entire group of AI insurgents. Each player has only one life. The game ends when all insurgents are killed and the stash of weapons is destroyed. Survival: players play as insurgents who must face waves of increasingly difficult security forces. Each successful wave gives players additional supply points to buy stronger weapons and modifications. Dead players will also be revived at the end of each wave. Outpost: players are grouped into a team and must protect their cache of weapons from enemy forces. Each wave that is defended successfully will grant players reinforcements. Conquest: players must capture targets and defend them from enemy forces. Destroying opposite caches will reduce the amount of opposing forces.
