The first assignment is about developing understanding for: the hardware components that is found in a computer system, the devices that can be attached to the components, different specifications of hardware components, how the specifications of hardware components can be used to upgrade a system, precautions that should be taken before operating on the inside of a computer system, protecting components and data from damage and corruption, impacts that installing and maintaining can have on an organization and on an individual and how to manage the installation and maintenance of hardware.

The second assignment is what aspects of installation and maintenance needed to be taken into an arrangement before starting work, understanding the importance of user requirements, identifying hardware and software that will be best required to suit the needs of a user, considering alternative options for the installation and maintenance of hardware to make effective decisions, considering corrective actions that could be taken to repair, maintain and improve the performance of computer systems and judgments on how to prioritize installation and maintenance tasks.

The third and last assignment is how to prepare for the installation and maintenance of hardware and software, the health and safety measures needed to be taken in order to protect yourself and hardware components, the techniques that can be used to test computer systems to make sure that hardware and software works in an acceptable way, how to correct hardware and software faults, how to make improvements to systems to increase performance, considering performance indicators that could be used to judge whether or not the installation has been successful, consideration limits that may forbid plans, considering alternative plans that could be use to make further improvements and evaluate the success of completed installation and maintenance plans.
