The strategy "Réstale kilos por tu Salud" promotes healthy eating and physical activation to improve the quality of life.

With the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles among the workers of the Ministry of Health (SEDA), the unit implements the strategy "Réstale kilos por tu Salud" to reduce conditions such as overweight, obesity and chronic degenerative diseases. Among the activities included in this program are the promotion of physical activities, weight control, height, waist and hip circumference, food orientation, self-care and dissemination of messages about healthy lifestyles. In addition, the SESA conducts monthly monitoring and measurement of the status of workers, so that they become aware of the importance of modifying their habits to improve their quality of life. Julio Ajuech Zempoalteca, State Leader of the Food and Physical Activity Program, informed that the staff incorporated into the strategy carries out a nutritional follow-up combined with different disciplines of physical activation, receives information and is motivated to modify the type of food they consume. Ajuech Zempoalteca explained that state workers know techniques to measure the portions of their food, the importance of good hydration, how to make healthy menus, and a nutritional plan and individualized follow-up. In the field of self-care for health, they are oriented to detect symptoms of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension in a timely manner.
