The success of the Toronto Raptors winning the 2018-19 NBA title is getting sweeter. The Raptors star player, Kawhi Leonard, was named the Most Valuable Player in the final.

Leonard contributed 22 points as the Raptors sealed the first NBA title in club history after a 114-110 win over the Golden State Warriors in the sixth game of the NBA Finals

The 27-year-old small forward always appeared in six matches against the Warriors by scoring an average of 28.5 points. This Final MVP was the second title for Leonard after previously leading the San Antonio Spurs to win the 2013-14 NBA

Leonard became the third basketball player to win the Final MVP with two different teams. The other two basketball players are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Milwaukee Bucks and LA Lakers) and LeBron James (Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers).

The NBA and MVP Final titles are sweet redemptions for Leonard. Because, Leonard underwent a heartbreaking last season with Spurs because he suffered various injuries until finally leaving to Raptors.
