Michael Jeffrey Jordan is born on Feb. 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. A few years later he moves with his family in Wilmington, North Carolina. He enrolls at Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington and starts playing basketball, soccer and baseball.

          He tries to pursue a serious career in basketball, but because of his height (1.80 cm) he is considered too short to play high. Can not play for his high school team or because of the height he finds himself in the Laney high school team, where he manages to impress and enlist countlessly 40 points per game. The following summer increases 10 cm and ends the last two years of high school with an average of 20 points per match. With these impressive figures he returns to North Carolina to continue his university studies in geography.

          He participates in various basketball tournaments and manages to win a lot of trophies. Thanks to this performance he is seen and recruited by the Chicago Bulls team from the NBA (National Basketball Association).

          During the first season in the NBA, Jordan had an average of 28.2 points / match. Shortly after, he managed to conquer fans even as supporters of the adverse teams. After only a month played by Jordan at Sports Illustrated magazine titles on the front page: "A Star Was Born!"

          In a very short time he becomes one of the American basketball stars, amazed by the fans with his incredible evolutions. The reputation of "Air Jordan" has been attributed to him because of his magnificent abilities to score slam dunks at the edge of the foul area. Although his game was offensive, he managed to win the title of the best defensive player in the NBA.

          After many established records and trophies won with his Chicago Bulls team over the years that followed, including all three NBA titles, Michael Jordan decided to retire from basketball in 1993 to start a baseball career. It lasted only two years away from the sport that set him up and returns to the Chicago Bulls. There was another glory in which he won three consecutive championships in 1996, 1997 and 1998.

          With Jordan in the field, the Chicago Bulls sets a new impressive record, 72 matches won in a season, as much as possible. In 1999, Jordan announced his retirement for the second time, but this time he returns for two more seasons in the Washington Wizard's T-shirt (2001-2003).
