Increasingly, diabetes type 2 develops after 40 years. Basically, the disease occurs when a person eats improperly (fatty and sweet food), abuses alcohol, cigarettes and leads an inactive lifestyle.

Also, the disease does not rarely occur in obese people. Another important factor is hereditary predisposition.

The second type of diabetes is a metabolic disorder, in which persistent hyperglycemia is noted. It occurs due to the lack of sensitivity of tissue cells to insulin.

Despite the fact that this form of the disease does not require the constant introduction of insulin, its progression leads to a host of various complications, such as encephalopathy, retinopathy, neuropathy, nephropathy, and so on. Therefore, diabetics need to completely change their lifestyle. So they need to revise their diet, go in for sports and give up bad habits.

Diabetes is not a disease if you adhere to a healthy lifestyle, which is based on a balanced diet. The main rule is eating food in small portions up to 6 times a day, so that breaks between snacks are no more than 3 hours.

Food should be sufficiently high in calories, because malnutrition in type 2 diabetes is as bad as overeating. And patients with excess weight should contact a nutritionist who will correct the diet.

After all, a balanced low carbohydrate diet contributes to the normalization of glucose concentration and a good compensation for diabetes, since the concentration of sugar in the blood, even after a meal, will not be higher than 6.1 mmol / l.

A diabetic lifestyle should consist of the right diet. Permitted products include:

Low-fat fish and meat in baked or boiled form.
Black bread with bran or coarse flour (up to 200 g per day).
Greens and vegetables - zucchini, cabbage, cucumbers, radishes can be eaten in normal quantities, and the consumption of beets, potatoes and carrots should be limited.
Eggs - can be consumed twice a day.
Groats - buckwheat, oatmeal, rice, barley, wheat are allowed on days when they do not eat bread. Semolina porridge is better to exclude from the diet.
Bean and pasta from durum - consumed in small quantities instead of bread.
Low-fat soups in fish, meat or vegetable broth.
Berries (blueberries, cranberries) and fruits (citrus, kiwi, apples)
