The implication, of course, is that this is not simply an Audi with electric power, but an electric car done the Audi way. Trouble is, on the surface, the very opposite would appear to be true. To look at, you’d struggle to tell the e-tron apart from a Q5 or a Q7, the two cars between which it sits size-wise. And indeed, when Andrew English drove it for the first time in the UAE toward the end of last year, we found it to be somewhat underwhelming. Perhaps even – whisper it – a bit boring.
