Blexfraptor
The Aston Martin DBX will be the first SUV of the British brand. Although the model is still under development it is expected to reach the end of 2019, it is a date provided by the brand. The main competitors of this high-performance SUV will be the Lamborghini Urus, the Bentley Bentayga, the Rolls Royce Culinan and the more than possible Ferrari Purosangue. All these models have one thing in common, they belong to brands of high performance and great luxury, which have never been related to the 4 × 4 concept. However, the change of tendencies in the tastes of the consumers has ended up affecting even the most purist manufacturers. If the development is completed within the expected time frame we could see the first sales of the Aston Martin DBX in the last quarter of 2019. The price has not been said yet, but if we look at its most direct rivals we could expect a sum that easily exceeds the 200,000 euros. Aston Martin DBX: design The DBX is based entirely on a prototype that was presented in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show. From this project derives directly the design, which at the moment we can say little, since the images that have been published show the car with an intense camouflage. Yes we can nevertheless imagine the forms. The classic grill of Aston Martin seems not to lose relevance, it remains as the most prominent element of the front. It has a considerable size, and is placed quite close to the ground, as it happens in the sports models of the brand. In the back we find some optics arranged vertically that are more distant from the traditional design of the British manufacturer. Although without a doubt what most disturbs us is the overall height of the car, it will take us a while to get used to seeing an Aston Martin like that. The mystery of motorization So far we do not know what the engine of the Aston Martin DBX will be. The most logical would be to think of a V8 engine, probably the same one that uses the DB11, for example. This propeller is of AMG origin and can generate powers of more than 500 HP with a torque close to 700 Nm. Other alternatives also enter the pools, such as a V12 engine or the presence of hybrid or micro hybrid versions. These options will be difficult to see, especially the first one, but they say that hope is the last thing that is lost. Developed both in the field and on the road As a good SUV, this DBX must offer certain off-road capabilities. That is why its development is having little to do with that of other models of the British manufacturer. Its set-up is taking place in very diverse scenarios, such as the Welsh forests. This geographical area has been chosen for the proximity of the factory that the brand has in the town of St. Athan, south of Wales, where the future DBX will be assembled. However, and since the dynamic behavior must be one of the strengths of this future model, the development is also taking place on the Nürburgring and on the German high-speed motorways.
