Cape Town - Defender Reeve Frosler has shared his delight at sealing a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday saying it's a "big opportunity" playing for the club.

"I am ready to give it my all," Frosler told the club's official website. "It's my ambition to win trophies with Kaizer Chiefs. Before sending a message to the club's supporters that, "I will do my best in every game selected for. I never want to let them down."

The Bafana Bafana international put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half year deal after leaving Bidvest Wits.

Frosler moved to Bidvest Wits' youth development structure in 2014 from Port Elizabeth-based side, Fairview Rovers.

Starting out as a central midfielder, he was eventually moved to the right wing at Wits. Later, when joining the senior squad, the 21-year-old found his position at right-back. He was part of Wits’ 2016/2017 title winning squad.

"Reeve is a wing-back who can play on either the right or the left," head coach Ernst Middendorp said. "He is one for the future and an investment for the club.

"Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko have done well at right-back and can also give us flexibility at the centre-back position."

About the possibility of taking part in the upcoming Soweto Derby on Saturday the right-back said: "I have matured a lot, and I would like to know now how it feels to play in a game of that magnitude."
