Skipper ✪ Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Harley-Davidson has announced about 57,000 of the famous motorcycle retailers to check for an oil hose that may loose, with the risk of oil leaking to the rear wheel. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, between 46,000 and 57,000 copies may be affected, the models being Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Police Electra Glide, Police Road King, Road King, Special King Road, Glide Street, Glide Special, Road Glide and Road Glide Specially built between 2 July 2016 and 9 May 2017. Harley-Davidson attributed the problem of an overlooked operation by assembly line workers. Dealers will inspect the clamps and fix them for free. This is the most recent problem Harley-Davidson faces. Last year, federal authorities launched an investigation following owners' complaints about blocking braking systems. The National Road Traffic Safety Administration then reported a number of 430,000 motorcycles built between 2008 and 2011 that could be affected by this problem. However, the report did not cause a recall in service, and the factory's recommendation is to change the brake fluid every two years.
