A young mother and her 3-year-old daughter were crushed after a landslide in Mar del Plata

A 30-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl were killed today by the rubble of the balconies that collapsed on the sidewalk when they left a building in the area of Punta Mogotes, Mar del Plata, police sources said.

The victims were passers-by walking along the sidewalk of a building on the corner of Puán and Acevedo streets of this spa town.

The consulted sources indicated that for reasons that are investigated, a balcony collapsed from a building in the corner where an ice cream shop and other commercial premises and dragged others of two subsequent floors.

The rubble of the three balconies fell to the path around 14 today.
Immediately, personnel from the fifth police station, the Port Fire Station and SAME ambulances arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the woman and her daughter.
