KEPY™
Google Chrome for Android is testing a new very useful experimental feature that allows you to take a look at the content of a link without leaving the web you are on. Thanks to it, the user can save a lot of time while browsing, since it is not necessary to leave the page where he is to make a quick query of the content of a link. Sure it happens a lot of times: you are browsing a web from your Android mobile, you follow one of the links that appears in the text to see information related to the article you are reading, and then click on the back button of the browser to return to the initial page. This process implies that the web has to be reloaded and that you lose the reading point, which in turn means a waste of time for you. To avoid these problems, streamline navigation and improve the user experience, Google has launched a new function through which it is possible to open the contents of a link in a popup window that overlays the main one, and when closing it returns us to the point where we were. As it is an experimental feature, it is currently available in the Dev and Canary versions of Chrome for Android. If you want to activate it, you can do it through the Google Browser Flags for mobile. To do this, type in chrome: // flags, enter in the Sneak peek search box, activate the option that appears and restart Canary. Once this is done, when you are browsing with Chrome Canary and you see a link, keep it pressed and select the option * New * Sneak peek that appears in the context menu. When doing so, the content will be displayed in a superimposed window, and when you close it you will return to the starting website. As we say, for the moment it is an experimental function and we still do not know when it will be available for the stable version. Given its usefulness, we hope you will do it soon.
