Caracas.- José Vargas had an inspired performance that served him to be designated Player of the Week, in the period between November 26 and December 2, of the elimination round 2018-2019

The Tigres de Aragua's initialist exhibited an offensive line of .409 / .458 / .909, in five challenges. The Californian led the circuit in extra-base (5), bases reached (20, home runs (3), RBI (12) and OPS (1.367). He tied 22-9, including a pair of doubles, scored four times, negotiated two tickets and struck out seven times.

It is the third time that Vargas wins the award, the other two occurred in the 2017-2018 season.

Vargas, 30 years old, won 89% of the votes of the accredited press to cover the incidents of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.

They were also taken into account the Dominican pitcher Logan Durán, of Águilas del Zulia, and the Colombian outfielder Harold Ramírez, of Leones del Caracas.

The right Duran won his only opening, after covering 7.2 in which he accepted nine hits and one race, with four strikeouts (1.17 EFE).

Ramírez hit for .500 / .586 / .667, with four biangular and six RBIs, in six challenges. His 12 hits in 24 turns, represented the most among his peers during the eighth week.
