Blexfraptor
Google tested a new location for the New Tab button in Chrome. Specifically, his idea was to replicate to mobile browsers with a fixed position for this button on the left side of the open tab bar. That would make the button not move according to the open tabs, but it did not stop working among the users. Finally, the launch of Google Chrome 69 solved the problem by replacing the button in its usual place. However, now we know that it is possible to change the position of the button "New tab" in Google Chrome and we explain how to do it. Google Chrome 69 was launched at the end of August with the new Material Design design to all users. Despite the tests of previous months, the button to open a new tab (that + located to the right of the open tabs) was put back in its usual place. In the previous months, it was tested with a new fixed location to the left of the whole, but the users did not end up getting accustomed or convinced. How to change the position of "New tab" in Google Chrome It is possible that some users will be convinced with this change for one reason or another. By default, Google Chrome displays the New tab button in the same place as always, but has left the door open for users to decide where to place it with a simple change in settings. The Google Chrome experiment menu, better known as chrome: // flags for the necessary text to enter in the address bar to access, hides hidden browser or experimental functions that have not been fully activated (and it is possible that never they do it). Thanks to this hidden menu we have been able to try new features before your official arrival and change certain aspects of the browser. In this case, let's see how to change the position of "New tab" in Google Chrome: Type chrome: // flags in the address bar and press enter Find the "New Tab Button Position" option and expand your options By default we have the "Default" behavior, but we can choose between "Opposite caption buttons", "Leading", "After Tabs" or "Trailing" Choose the option that you like the most (you can try them all before deciding) Restart the browser to apply the changes
