After years with Internet Explorer, and problems one after another, in 2015 the Redmond company launched Microsoft Edge as the default browser of Windows 10. With a new engine that should be more stable, safe and fast, but has also given problems throughout these years. And this week it was leaked that Microsoft is preparing a new web browser that will be based on Chromium, the engine of Google Chrome.

Now we know that yes, the Redmond company is preparing a new version of Microsoft Edge - and not a new web browser, in parallel - and that will effectively use the Chromium engine. That is, it will start on the same basis as Google Chrome and, therefore, should also inherit some of its best features. But beyond this confirmation, we have also been able to know now that throughout the next year 2019 the Redmond company will launch Microsoft Edge also for computers with mac OS. For the first time, Edge will hit Apple's computers.

Edge is passed to Chromium, Windows will update faster, and Microsoft will launch its new web browser for Apple computers in 2019
On the one hand we have the confirmation that Microsoft Edge will be based on Chromium from next year 2019, we do not know exactly when. And we know that it will not be a new wbe browser, but the same Microsoft Edge, in what is probably its most important update since it was originally launched. And we also know that this change in Edge will make it available for Mac computers for the first time. In addition, interesting information has been released regarding Windows updates, which will be faster from next year 2019.

After the serious problems that the company has experienced with the launch of Windows 10 October 2018 Update, and of these something more than three years with Microsoft Edge without taking off, it seems that Microsoft is changing its strategy. By 2019 we already know several important changes that are being prepared and, of course, we will have a great update of your Windows 10 operating system during the first half of the year.
